Cabarroguis, Quirino
Quirino Province was separated from the province of Nueva Vizcaya during the year 1965, and in the same year, its capital and one of its municipalities was also named, which is Cabarroguis.
Quirino and Cabarroguis were named in honor with the late with the late President Elpidio Quirino, and with the late Leon Cabarroguis, respectively.
Barangay Villa Peña was separated from Barangay Antonio Luna, (now known as Burgos) in the municipality of Cabarroguis in 1970- 1972, with an area of 348- 350 hectares and composed of three purok.
