LGU Cabarroguis also known as Bayan ng Cabarroguis is committed to fully protect your personal information and data privacy in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA).

In all instances, we assure you that processing your personal data will strictly follow the provisions of DPA, especially the general data privacy principles of Transparency, Legitimate Purpose, and Proportionality.

How Do We Collect Data And Personal Information

We collect data and personal information by:

  • Interviews, house-to-house surveys, and over-the-phone conversations.
  • Sending personal information thru e-mail or phone messages and filling-up our online forms in our official website and in other similar channels.
  • filling-up the provided logbook, registration forms, submitting your documents such as Personal Profile, Application Papers, Financial Documents, etc.

What Are The Data And Personal Information Do We Collect

The data and personal information we usually collect are:

  • Full name, complete address, birthdate, name of household head, contact number, e-mail address etc.
  • Valid ID, Social Security Number, Tax Identification Number, and other Government-issued IDs that can validate your identity.
  • Ethnicity, civil status, race, religion, scholastic records, health records, service record, ratings, training, leave schedules, financial data and other similarly sensitive information shared with us.

These data and personal information is protected by the data privacy law.

What Are The Purposes of Collecting Data and Personal information

The data that we collected may be use in the following purposes:

  • Planning and implementing local government projects.
  • Implementing local government programs.
  • Monitoring progress on local government projects and programs.
  • Analyze and solve community problems.

The Personal information that you submitted to us may be use in the following purposes.

  • Job Hiring.
  • Registration of birth, marriage, and death.
  • Business Permit application.
  • Real Property and Land Tax computation concerns.
  • Health Services.

Where Do The Data and Personal Information Be Kept

The data and Personal Information that the we collected are stored by physical or paper based formats and digital or electronic formats. Physical or paper based formats are stored in a secured Filing cabinet and digital or electronic formats is stored in a database, saved in computer and in a server.

How Long The Data and Personal Information Be Kept

Data and personal information shall be stored for two years after inquiries and requests are acted upon, after which physical or paper based format shall be disposed through shredding, while digital or electronic formats shall be anonymized.

Some data and personal information may be kept longer than two (2) years when its retention period is determined by other relevant laws and regulations.

Who Can Access The Data and Personal Information

Only the authorized personnel who are in charge of collecting and processing the data and personal information can access it. However, we may disclose your information to third parties, such as financial institutions, government offices, etc., when necessary and consent from the subject is given.

What is Disclosure of Data and Personal Information

We do not share data and personal information with any other party unless allowed by Sections 12 or 13 of the DPA.

What are the risk involved

Risk refers to potential harm or danger to individuals or organizations. This can happen through unauthorized collection, use, disclosure, or access to data and personal information, affecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability. We ensure security measures to safeguard personal information, but absolute protection is not guaranteed, especially against cyberattacks or unauthorized access. However, we have policies in place to manage security incidents, which align with existing National Privacy Commission (NPC) policies, circulars, and other guidelines.

We use reasonable and appropriate technical, physical, and organizational security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, alteration, loss, or destruction.

Changes to the Privacy Notices

We reserve the right to update or revise this privacy notice at any time and will issue a new one whenever there are significant changes. Previous versions of the privacy notice can be provided to data subjects upon request.
